Over the River and Through the Woods

Hello ta All,

We're about ta celebrate one of the best holidays fer gettin' tagather with family and friends and sharin' an evening of good food and good companionship. We're about ta celebrate Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is a traditional North American holiday, and is a form of harvest festival. The date and whereabouts of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention. Though the earliest attested Thanksgiving celebration was on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida[1], the traditional "first Thanksgiving" is venerated as having occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621.
Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members.

Now I can tell ya none of us were around in the year 1621 but we still love ta honor the tradition of gettin' tagather with everyone and breakin' bread....'n enjoyin' good fellowship too.

There's a song about gettin' there that we just love ta sing and we thought we would share it with ya all.......here goes......... if ya look close ya might see us and friends in the pictures....

Over the river

and thru the woods,

To grandmother's house we go;

The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh,

Thru the white and drifted snow, oh!

Well, we don't sing real well so here's a bit of the song sung by people who can carry a tune....

Song By The Juke Box Band
