From The Mouths of Babes

Taday was a pretty special day around here.....baby Parker got baptized. Everyone got ta go ta the church 'n visit with the Lord and Parker got his name officially written in the church records 'n anointed with water 'n oil... 'n cleansed of his sins. Do ya really think that little innocent babies have any sins ta forgive?

We didn't get ta go......we never get ta go to important stuff like this...we always get left at home. I think we coulda given the whole affair some much needed color and livened things up a bit afterward....but what do I know?..........I'm a wire fox terrier......not a hooman baby ( although Gram calls me her little baby pumpkin child).........

So Gram tells me this is a picture of big brother Scott and Heather with the newly baptized baby, Parker.....and that thing on the left is the baptismal font where Parker got his cleansing water.

I really don't think he looked dirty at all, do you? So why did they need ta cleanse him?

Now, here are the baptismal sponsors standin' with the happy parents...... 'n baby Parker too....that taller guy in back is my other big brother Brian....

Baby Parker was pretty good in church...he didn't even get scared by the loud organ music and after the ceremony, there was a little reception at his house fer the family......we didn't get ta go ta that either....'n Fred 'n George were gone too....they got shipped off ta doggie camp. I hear tell there was a lot of good food there we coulda helped 'em all eat....

Baby Parker was all dressed up in his little white baptismal suit......he did look pretty special and he was happy that a bunch of family and friends helped ta celebrate his special day.....

Parker says that gettin' baptized was pretty easy.....a whole lot easier than that circumcision business that took place a few days after he was born....he's not standin' fer that again........I don't blame 'em a bit.....

So Baby Parker says HELLO ta everyone out in blogland he and hopes that your weekend was a special as his was.

Now....when can we get a taste of that baptism food ?????? Did ya bring any home Gram ????

Aw, shucks.......

Baby Parker is one adorable pup! He looks like he had a swell time. Did they bring you some cake?

Your Pal,

Petey

P.S. Mommy had to try a couple times before she could load a photo of me in the Million Dog Mosaic. Hope you try again!

Hi Dewey,

You human-events-reporting is as toothsome as your canine journalism!

Baby parker looks cute (don't you think that human babies form a bell-curve of cuteness - they look ugh...when they are born, then they look cute, then cuter...until they begin to look okay, and then the okay-ness goes on dwindling and by the time they are 25, they've lost all their cuteness!)

This is, of course, unlike us dogs! We look cute, cuter, cutest...and then then continue to look cutest forever!

Forgive my canine cuteness saga...I've just jumped out of the bed, and a hangover from last night's chicken tikkas refuses to lift!

That human puppy is sure cute, DeweyD. My best wishes to the whole family.

I agree, you would have definitely livened things up, being the party animals that you are. Ain't no party til the dawgs arrive - when will they get that straight?

Love you, DeweyD. You are the cutest and I love your blog.

Boy, that Parker keeps getting cuter and cuter every day!! For a human baby he sure is adorable. I used to think that only we terrier babies were beautiful, but I guess not. Parker proves that idea wrong.

It's too bad that you, your mom, and Toby, your dad and brother did not get to have any of the food. Humans can be like that sometimes. They want all the good stuff for themselves. I'd complain, if I knew who do complain to.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

Oooh that baby Parker is a cutie! I bet he's sweet enough to give kisses to (Mom: wait 'til he's older Rudy!). I went last weekend to an Earthdog test in the tropical heat of New Jersey -- check it out! Mom is thinking of coming up to western PA in August, she's not sure yet. One of the last times we went, we camped in a tent and had a huge thunderstorm that almost wiped out the tent! That was no fun!

Pawsome reporting Dewey.Shame you could'na do it first pawed though. What were those hoomans thinking of? Not you terriers for sure. You need to step up their training schedule Dewey.Include those handsome brothers of yours too. They all seem dowright disobedient to me.

Xcept Puppy Parker. Now he is is VERY cute. Bootiful eyes. And smiley. And very clean. That font must have special cleansing water. Yikes! Hope they never use that on us doggies.

Wiry wags, Eric x

Dewey, thanks for visiting:)

I too had begun to miss your comments (I guess I begin to wait for your comment the moment I click the publish button!)

Good to know that you are having a good time (despite that weird contraption that you spoke of).

Stop by when you are back. I've dug a tunnel to the playground (very terrier-like, I wonder whether it is an atavistic tendency or it's rubbed off from you three wonderful diggers!)

Four clocks are up - check them out! Mercury is starting to look a bit like me, with her tongue hanging out in anticipation of a treat (read: appreciation.) Humans...bah!

Oorvi
