Let Us Remember.......

Hello To All.......

Some of you may be reading this from other parts of the world.....others are joining us from the great country we call home and remembering....I think everyone can remember that day seven years ago when tears were shed around the world.... ..you cried as we cried.......

Today is a day to remember.....remember the day we were attacked on our own soil with our own airplanes....when brave Americans who tried to rescue others became victims themselves......when a group of Americans in a plane over Shanksville, Pa. refused to just sit in their seats and die without trying to save themselves and others. "Let's Roll !!!" Let us never forget that day on September 11, 2001 when we were glued to our TV sets....tears streaming down our faces in disbelief as we watch the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City burn......and as we saw the Pentagon in flames in Washington D.C. .........that day will live in our minds forever.......

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

They wanted to bring us to our knees that day......to break our spirit.....what they did was UNITE US.

O beautiful for spacious skies,

(New York City)

For amber waves of grain,

For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!

America! America!

God shed His grace on thee,

And crown thy good with brotherhood

From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet

Whose stern impassion'd stress

A thoroughfare for freedom beat

Across the wilderness.

America! America!
God mend thine ev'ry flaw,

Confirm thy soul in self-control,

Thy liberty in law.

O beautiful for heroes prov'd

In liberating strife,

Who more than self their country loved,

And mercy more than life.

America! America!

May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,

(The face of a terrorist)
And ev'ry gain divine.

O beautiful for patriot dream
(The Pentagon)
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam

Undimmed by human tears.

(Shanksville, Pa.)

America! America!

God shed His grace on thee,

And crown thy good with brotherhood

From sea to shining sea!

Let us never forget those who died that day when we see the USS New York, built with steel from the Twin Towers. America The Beautiful, the home of the Free and the Brave..........May God Bless them all......And let us NEVER FORGET.......

This is Dewey Dewster's Gram remembering yet again.........

Oh yes, Mom still remembers this event...I wasn't even born yet,but Mom still remembers it clearly when she heard about this terrible tragedy.

Looking back at the pictures, we can't help but feel sad that this had to happen to anyone. We hope this will never happen anywhere again...*hugs*

Wonderful tribute. We must NEVER forget. 7 years. Seems like yesterday & forever ago at the same time. Tears quietly rolled down Mom's cheeks as she put our flag to half staff this morning.
We licked them off for her. We were both alive when that day happened. We remember.
With bowed heads,

Oh Dewey...

That was beautiful.

We're wordless.
Barkless.

But not tearless.

Thank you for showing us the pictures of our beautiful country.

We remember. We celebrate the heroism of that day.

Our heads are bowed.

You got my Mama eyes all watery here, Dewey. She always cries when she remembers Sept. 11. That was a beautiful tribute... we all pray for those lost on that day and for peace on this earth.
