In The Sunshine State.......Fer Sure.......

Hello all ya bloggies.....

Ya thought we disappeared from the bloggin' world didn't ya ????? Well, we almost did because of Gram who wasn't interested in helpin' me with my blog til I hog-tied 'er and made 'er take some pictures too.....

Welcome ta Tanglewood......a little community in Sebring, Florida fer OLD PEOPLE......but young doggies are allowed in....yep....that's us......

We left "The Burg" on December 26 and drove here....takin' 3 days ta get here....not fun....3 days in the car with Toby 'n my Mom hoggin' up the back seat......but we survived..... When we got here it was COLD....I tell ya....COLD.....fer days....'n days....but now it has warmed up just fine.....

Here I am ridin' in my golf cart and I thought that I would take ya on a tour of our little community and our little camper too.....

Fasten yer seat belts cause here we go......'n I'm not the best driver either so hang on tight......

I thought I'd take my Mom along fer the ride.....ain't I just the nicest son that ya know?????

First stop is our little pen in front of our camper....we get ta watch all the people go by and doggies too....but we're not allowed ta bark.....and I tell ya that sometimes we ferget.......yep, we ferget ta be quiet.....

Now step inside our little place and we can show ya around....I tell ya it's little......
This is the back of the living area and it got a bit crowded cause of our crates but we can all get in anyway...... This is the entertainment unit and it is on a slide out.....before ya go anywhere ya have ta slide these in so ya don't run everyone off the road.....'n so ya fit on the road too.

This is on the opposite of the room ....the sofa.....and it is on a slide out too....ya have ta watch yer head when ya sit down cause the ceiling is low....

This is the rest of the sideout and where Gram 'n Pap eat........we hang out underneath the table in case any crumbs fall our way.....well......ya never know........do ya ??????

This is the kitchen part and ya can see the front door too....that little black thing is the stove. Gram is havin' trouble with that cause she likes ta cook 'n there's no room and only 3 burners too....the microwave is in the cabinet above the stove....this part has real high ceilings and ya have a feeling of space even though there isn't much of it......
Ready ta see some more??????
Just follow me......

If ya come in the door.......this is what ya see....the fridge and freezer section are built in and there are cabinets on the left side ta put stuff in.......'n we have lots of stuff.........Gram is havin' trouble with the fridge cause it's really small....'n ya can't fit much in it....'n she likes ta buy ahead and freeze.....can't do that here......

There's 3 steps ta the right of the fridge and ya go up inta the bath area........we didn't show ya the water closet cause it's an unmentionable.......but ya can see the shower 'n sink......

Ya go up one more step 'n yer in the tiny bedroom which is on a slide-out too....those doors are the closet and that part is on the truck bed and so the ceiling is real low.....

This is the outside of the 5th wheel camper....ya can see the 2 slide-outs....this side is opposite the entry door.....

Now ya can see the door side 'n the awning...our pen...... 'n the steps ta get in.....the slide-out ya see stickin' out is the entertainment unit....
Here's a wider view....we have a patio.... 'n a picnic table....'n there's Pap cleanin' stuff.....we've been doin' that.....cleanin'.... since we got here......we're almost done.....

We're in the RV (recreational vehicle) section of the park.......here's a look at some of our neighbors.......

And some more too.......

There's a bunch of streets back here......lookin' across the street at our neighbor.....they live here year round......

Let's drive up the street........

There are houses in here too....streets 'n streets full of 'em....here's one of the little ones......

And here's a big one........

Gee everyone....I sure hope that ya enjoyed yer tour of Tanglewood and our little place we're stayin' in........
I will try ta post more later.....I have ordered some drugs ta give Gram so that she is much more agreeable and will help me and let me use 'er laptop too......as soon as they arrive....we're good ta go.....
Hope the weather in your part of the world is swell.......cause it is nice 'n warm here now.....
'n we're havin' a grand time.....
This is Dewey Dewster reportin' on Tanglewood..........

Dewey! That is a mighty nice rolling crate with SUCH a huge bed! If that's your bed, where do Gram and Pap sleep?

(Moma keeps talking about wanting one of those traveling homes. Maybe someday. We keep tellin' her how much fun it'd be. And you've just given us some very nice evidence!)

Enjoy your time in sunny Florida!

Love

Nice place you've got there Dewey. Do the leggeds like their outside pen? Shame Gram hasn't got much room for cooking but better for dropping for you I bet. Wagging you get to drive the golf cart. Do you caddy for Gramps too? Xpect the money from that lets you buy the drugs for Gram. When you get a moment Dewey give me the name of them. Could use a whole bottle full over here.

Wiry love Eric xx

Are you sure you're not at a dog show, Dewey? That's exactly what it looks like with all the campers and your pen. Papa says one day maybe we'll have one like that too and we'll travel around and do the North American show circuit...

Anyway, I'm happy you have a fun new place to play in and explore. Tell Gram now that she is rested and has all the Vitamin D from the sunshine, and the drugs, no more excuses for not helping you blog more often! Have fun in the sun. xo

Wow! That is one mobile home! Thanks for the tour - C would love to have one - but D says she would be too scared to drive that things round. She can barely park her Renault - can you imagine something that large - she would have taken out the neighbours.

We like your home though - and love the idea of golf carts - lots of licks

Hi Dewey,

The 11th Hour is a sort of documentary feature film, which was released in 2007. It is "created, produced, and narrated" by DiCapiro. I think Gram can rent a DVD and all of you can then watch it together. (You can read about the movie at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_11th_Hour_(film)

About the Ice-Age ice melting and disappearing, Mercury and Cameo recently watched a program on Fox History, where they explained that the Ice-age could've resulted in an exponential cooling of the planet (with the ice reflecting more of Sun's heat, as it built up); but the planet was saved by volcanoes that spewed out CO2 along with the Lava - CO2 is a greenhouse gas and it traps heat - so the reversal began. As you said, it probably was Nature's way of protecting itself:)

The cold winters that we experienced this year are explained (by the scientists camp) as the outcome of a complex process that begins with the melting of the Arctic ice (and also the glaciers - I don't know if you've heard of the recent controversy involving Dr. Pachauri.) So we can't be sure...of anything...anymore! Except of the love that we share with our dear humans.

Licks n wags to you, Toby, Asta Marie, Gram, and Pap:)

Hi Guys!

Glad that you are back.

Thanks for the tour of your new winter home. It is lovely. Looks like you have most of the comforts and conveniences of home and none of the ice and snow of winter. That's not hard to take. Good for you! Your Gram and Pap got it right!

Good luck to you in your winter playground.

Love and Lots of Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

Man, I really do like your expandable home. I could really use one of them, to pull behind the motorcycle when the parental units are vacationing. A cookstove, comfy seats and entertainment unit. Who needs anything more? You guys are sooooo lucky!

We enjoyed the tour! Looks like a great place to stay warm! Our weather is CRAZY! One day, it's in the 60's and the next day, it's in the 30's! I guess we're lucky we don't have any snow! Enjoy your time in Floriduh!

Aire-hugs,

Hey Dewster, are you still down south or are you up here suffering like the rest of us? I don't know if you would've gotten as much snow as WE did but tomorrow and Wednesday you might! We had over 2 feet of snow and might get another foot out of this. Mom wants to go hide!

Hey! We're just checking in! Are you still in Florida, or did you pack up and get the wheels moving further south. Like to the southern hemisphere. In search of warm.

Whatta winter!
