Home Sweet Home.......Almost Anyway.......

Gee Guys....

We almost thought we would never see ya again....

'N never hear from ya either....

'N never be home again too......

But we are home and back ta usin' the good old DSL we have come ta love....

We wanted ta share a bit of all the stuff we did while we were in Florida in March.

We stayed at a community called Tanglewood in Sebring, Florida. There were lots of doggies there which meant peemail overload, but boy was it fun ta smell it all.

In the Park, they had a doggie run and while we were there twice, the second time we were the only doggies runnin' around in there. The place was full of sand and even though it was sand it made us really dirty.

Here we are runnin' around chasin' the ball......

If ya click on any of the pictures, ya can biggify 'em....

Ya know we got really hot runnin' around like that.....

See how dirty Mom got in the sand ????
*************************************
We got ta be in our exercise pen in the front of the place we were stayin' and observe all the people goin' by. And on a hot day, Gram got out the hose and we got a pan 'o water ta cool off in. Look at silly Toby always bein' happy.....doofus.....

Toby was enjoyin' himself in the cool water....

My Mom got squirted with the hose 'n Gram tried but just couldn't catch 'er curlin' up in the pan like she always does.......

We got ta sit with Pap and relax after a hard day of people watchin'in the little house we were in........

Gram 'n Pap have some friends who are buildin 'a new house on Lake June in Lake Placid, Florida ....that's down the road from where we were stayin'.........

Gram got some nice scenery pictures of Lake June.......................

This picture is of the yard next door ta where the new house is goin'.... ya ever see grass so green ???

And more of Lake June. Gram's friends are gonna love the view from their lanai.......

This is what the house looks like under construction......

'N there was a circus guy walkin' on stilts puttin' tape 'n joint compound on the wallboard in the new house. Why, we wondered when he was goin' back ta the circus.....

Ain't he funny lookin' ????

After spendin' a whole month there, we headed back ta Pittsburgh. We stayed 2 nights in motels along the way. 'N the motels had special bedspread fer us ta lay on. Ain't they nice people....motel people ????

Mom was relaxin' in the second motel....they sure have nice beds.....

As ya can see, all that travelin' was a bit tirin' 'n so we're taking some time ta get used ta bein' back home and in the colder weather. That sunshine and those warm temperatures were sure nice ta enjoy...

But it's good ta be home again too. We'll try ta catch up on what ya all have been doin' as soon as we ge caught up on all the stuff that was waitin' fer us when we got back.

We're sure gonna miss Florida but Gram says we're goin' back next winter and fer a long visit next time.....

This is Dewey Dewster reportin' on Florida, travelin' and the special circus man we saw....

Looks to us like you had a GREAT time! But we're guessing home sweet home is good, too. Back to your own beds! (Did you bring some sand back?)

Welcome back to the coldness.

It be some time before you get to play with the hose! Lake June looks wonderful, but I need to known, when you go back are you going or should I say allowed to go swimming in the Lake? And are there any gators in the lake?

Why do people that set up dog run think at we love sand?? I have a dog park I go to and it is sandy, and I agree, I get totaly dirty. And we know what comes next!!!!

Anyway, glad to have you back,
Luna- tic

Hi Deweyeeee,
Welcome back:)
I missed you so much that I hardly blogged:( I thought of you and Asta Marie and Toby sniffing all those peemails in Florida...and I was really angry at these two - they hardly ever take me anywhere with them...except on some short fini trips.

I think that your Gram n Pap are fantastic and truly lovable people. They take you along on this cross-country adventure - all three of you:) Give them ten drooly licks each.

Things've been a bit hectic here for Mercury and Cameo. Though I do my best to share some of the load, but then there isn't much that a dog can do - except advising, and...motivating others to do their best!

And thanks for sharing the pictures:)

Dewey Dear, So glad to have you back!! We missed your smiling face. Glad you had a fun vacation in Florida. Next time you should come to Phoenix. We have LOTS of dog parks here, with no sand in them. Well, the one with the doggy lake has something like sand. Anyway, great to have you back on the blog!

Wow, I was wondering when we'd see you guys again. Looks like you had a busy month!
Motels, are fun for dogs maybe, but not for cats. 10 years ago when my mom moved my sisters from CA to TX, she got a couple motel rooms and my sisters were so scared they climbed up into the boxspring of the motel mattress, and mom had to take the whole bed apart to get them out! Mom was not amused. That was before I was born.
Motels are more fun for dogs.
Glad to see you back!

Momma says her parents used to send her to stay with her granny and gramps too. Guess that's just what parents do.

That sandy place for you to play in is HUGE! No wonder you got tired.

Must be good to be home, huh?

Welcome back everybody! We missed you! I've been to Florida a couple of times but we didn't have as much fun as you did (boring old dog shows in Tampa and Orlando).
Mom says maybe I can come down again for agility next year if we're good!

I can see you had a sooper dooper time with the leggededs. All that sightseein' and supervisin' and sand collectin' can wear a doggie out. No wonder you slept well on the motel beds. Now that cool dude from the circus---WOW!!! Walking on stilts. Need to learn that trick. After supper and a bit of a snooze.

Hi Dewey,

You are right. Mercury helped me write that post:) Isn't it funny - she was the only one who slept through the entire scene and she was the one who helped me write about it!

I'll ask her to create a caricature of Mr. RollyPolly:) but in these uncertain times (now where did I pick that phrase?)she's beating her previous records of unpredictability.

The DogCOM project has clocked a measly 1 hour of effort last week - why? Because she's working on something - and now suddenly there's this possibility of a food-in-bowl project from the UK. It's about 90% certain that all the pre-sales work she'd be doing on it would go down the drain - there are many with rock-solid contacts in this world...but the way things are - you can't just ignore an opportunity that knocks at your door.

All this affects me and my future plans. They try to divide their time - I grant them that, but why should I be the one who gets the smallest portion?

BTW, they had promised me some KFC for a project - and the project materialized, so I am pretty well-fed (although, Mercury's been checking your comments behind my back - and you probably asked her not to give me those bones - so she removes those bones before giving the pieces to me:(!

Over here - according to the figures, inflation seems to have become negligible - but everything still remains as expensive as it was before. According to the official announcements - India remains unscathed - no recession, they say. But out of every four humans these two meet, one has recently lost a job and two are expecting to be asked to go any day! The shops in the malls are closing down, and you find everyone putting up signs that read "Sales" or "Discount."

We too are feeling it first-hand; these two are working doubly hard and the revenues have dropped significantly - It's a break-even kind of situation.

We guess that after the elections end (another month from now,) the government would begin to accept the reality.

I'll stop now - I can see that you've begun to doze off:) Enjoy a nice nap - I'll stop by when I am feeling better.

Oorvi
