Fall Scenes from our Cottage Visit

Well, Hello Blogland Friends,
We spent another week up at our cottage and while it is now October and they say that the lovely Fall colors should be arriving....we really didn't see the leaves changing up there.... We did have much cooler days and frosty nights and had the woodstove going but when the sun came out, it was just wonderful crisp, delightful Fall weather.

So we were just enjoying the freedom of havin' all that space ta run around in and listenin' ta all the noises that the wildlife were makin'.

Pap had a pile of wood that we really found interestin' cause there was somethin' in there fer sure.....we knew it...we heard it....it was squeakin'.... and we wanted it..... First my Mom was over there checkin' out that pile cause she knew there was a chipmunk in there and knew it shouldn't be there at all......

I couldn't go over there cause it was outside of the force field of our electric wireless fence....but I was sittin' there cryin' cause I needed ta help me Mom get that bugger...so Pap took off the collar and carried me over so I could help.

It was a really nice Fall day and we got pretty dirty diggin' in that woodpile and so Pap got out the hose and a pan so we could get cleaned off a bit.

We love ta chase the ball......now me 'n Mom were the major ball players but lately Toby decided that he loves ta play ball too....in fact he gets it most of the time now much ta our dismay. But here we all are chasin' it.....

Now when ya chase the ball and it gets down on the ground a lot...it gets pretty dirty......my Mom always likes ta wash it off so Gram and Pap don't stop throwin' it. But here I am the one tryin' ta get it clean.....

Now ya know that anytime there is a pan of water 'n we're hot from runnin' around, my Mom has ta get in and cool off. And this visit wasn't any different. Here she is gettin' her whole self inta that little pan of water......

Now we're pretty tired right now after all that activity.....'n it will take us a few days ta get rested up....but we know we'll be ready fer a walk tomorrow fer sure. It's always sad when we have ta leave the cottage cause of all the room we have there ta run but we know we'll be back there again soon.

Hope ya all have a chance ta enjoy the Fall weather just like we did !!!

This is Dewey Dewster reportin' on our visit ta the cottage....

Hi Dewey,

Those videos are great! Mercury's been working all the time these days (of course you know that...why else would my blog be neglected?)but she's watched all the videos twice!

She loved best the one in which you and Asta Marie were digging under the logs. Did you actually find something?

And that curl-in-the-bowl trick that you mom does is awesome! You are such a spoilsport...you had to disturb her!

The Three Terrific Terriers video was literally cool!

You are welcome to use that voting machine. I did watch the second presidential debate today morning but I don't think that Mercury would allow me to use her computer...she's got what she called a "deliverable" coming up! The funny part of the whole deal is that she's her own client too! Weird...but she says that if you don't break your mega-plan into small deliverables you'd never achieve the final goal!

Don't worry...I'll manage it somehow! Will arm-twist her into doing some work for me - either today or tomorrow! The least she can do is create a little quiz!

About the robbery - I don't know. We watch CNN for about fifteen minutes unless there's a special program (such as these debates.) Mercury n Cameo are not so much into the News thing...they prefer watching HBO/MGM and Discovery/History channels, when they can!

Oh...she's here! She's looking at her watch...11:20 AM - she wants the computer back!

Oh...I didn't answer your question!

They've offs on Mondays...and this month there'll be two additional offs - one's tomorrow for Dushehra and another off on October 28 for Diwali or Deepawali:)

If you ask me - I'd say that they don't really take an off from work...only from office:) Not going to office is no guarantee for no work!

"Yes Mercury...I know that it's 11:30...I am leaving...I was just telling Dewey about..."

"..."

"Okay...Okay...you don't have to shout...I am leaving!"

Bye Dewey...

I like your mom's style. There's nothin' better than a nice wet belly and some icy cold water to soak it in. Good work!

Dewey - Maybe mom has a little bit of the obbssive thing going on. I wonder how small the bowl would have to be before she stopped trying to sit in it.

Can you come and stay in my attic for a while? We have mouses up there.

Dewey!

My goodness, you three just never stop running around and doing crazy, silly things! When Asta Marie went into the water dish, my human laughed at the same time that your human did in the video!

Hi, Dewey!
I know how much you love to be there!
When I watched the first video, I was wondering when Asta Marie was going to get into the "bowl" and she did it at the end! Ha!

Did you ever get that whatever out of the woodpile?? I tell ya, your Mom getting in that little pan is the best thing ever!!

Woodpiles are the greatest! We go in and snoop around and find the neatest things in there. Mom wants to clean up around the yard so I'm afraid our fun will be all gone..
We've just been resting up from the NJ Earthdog test and hope that Mom can take us up there again on Columbus Day for some training, depending on how Dennis gets along with his fixing up the Jeep...

Love,
Rudy
