Do ya remember when we got that new retainin' wall installed???? Me, my Mom, 'n Toby wanted an earthdog tunnel and all we got was a wall?????
Here it is right after it got installed and Gram put in some of the baby garden mums that she had dug up before the old wall was torn down.
Now here's what those garden mums looked like the other evening after we got back from one of our walks. It's easier ta take pictures after the sun went down and all the bees went away, cause there were hundreds of bees on these plants during the day.
Can ya believe how big they got in a few months?
And it was a surprise what colors we had cause when they got dug up, we had no idea what colors would bloom when Fall arrived.
So, we got a lot of different colors and they're all bloomin' right now.
Well, since Pittsburgh is celebratin' it's 250th Birthday this month, Gram thought ya might like ta see a few pictures she took of the city from up on Mt. Washington.
Ya can click on it(where it says full screen below) ta make it full screen 'n see it better....
And do ya remember that baby that keeps comin' by ta visit us? Parker, it is.......well, he's almost 8 months old now and he's finally startin' ta do real people stuff. He was visitin' us last Sunday and sittin' in the very same highchair that his Daddy sat in when he was a baby.....'n that was a long time ago. Here he is tryin' ta figure out how ta drink his water outta his sippy cup.
Heck, we coulda showed him how ta drink outta our water dishes......
Well, that's all for this visit, guys......hope ya enjoyed the show even though we're not in the pictures.....we'll make sure we're in the next ones fer sure....
This is Dewey Dewster here reportin' on Fall stuff... 'n baby Parker.........

oooh wow! that human Parker is certainly getting big...you still make sure he knows who is boss right? Those flowers also look very pretty - did you help fertilize them?

Those flowers are very beautimous! And that's a great tour of da burgh! BTW, our kitchen floor isn't ceramic that looks like brick...it's Oak wood that looks like brick. In early 2001, we had 400 board feet of oak delivered and our dad cut it into 1/2 inch thick pieces from the end grain (instead of how they usually cut hardwood floors). Each piece was cut on 4 sides, routed and then our mom used wood filler mixed with a tiny bit of stain to seal the grain. If ya don't do that, all the wood looks almost black when the finish goes on. Our mom installed all the wood blocks, finished it with 2 coats of the finish they use in Hard Rock Cafes, and then used caulking to make the "grout". It took a little over 3 years to get it completely done. A carpenter wanted over $30,000 to do it, so Mom decided she would do it herself! Because of that floor, our mom says she will never sell this house. She says they would have to burn the house and sift the ashes to find her! So, that's the story of our kitchen floor that looks like brick. Glad you like it!

Hi ya pals... sniffing by to see what is up in your neck of the woods. Did you help gram dig the holes for the mums? My mother is always trying to direct my digging, but she needs to show the green cash beforehand. hmmm, she doesn't quite get it.
That little hooman is quite cute. Better get him a bigger bowl to slurp out of. What I have gathered from watching sippy cups is the kids never get anything to drink. It's all over everything else.
Those flowers are gorgeous! Mom is jealous, she can't grow a thing. She must have watched those Burgh pics go by three times, that is her home after all! Thanks so much for sharing those, we loved them.
Wow your Grandma really has a green thumb! Look how much both the flowers and Parker have grown in just a few months with her tender loving care!
I'm kind of surprised you three aren't the size of Airedales!
Your pal,
Petey
Your flowers are beautiful. But Big Pupi recommends NOT eating the bees. He's feasted on a few in his days and says they always end with him in a Benedryl stupor. So just feast your eyes!
The mums are just gorgeous and so is the Pittsburgh slide show! We can't wait to show it to dad who was there for the transplant olympic games in July!
Baby Parker is sure getting big!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
OooOh the flowers and baby Parker are both blooming, and bootiful too.Same as tht lovely city of yours.
I liked to see Parker with his sippy cup of water, a blink of an eye and that will be a glass with some wine it!!
Mom read you comment on Toffees blog bout the words whatsit...she chuckled like it was funny or something. I think she is afflicted with that same disease. I mean everybloggie knows what a ljmttf is right?

The mums look great -- I better not let Mom see this or she'll start planting even more mums than she already has. That Parker is a cutie!
I'm doing agility trials this weekend so I'll update you later on what we did!

Hi Dewey,
Baby Parker looks cute...and he almost managed a sip from his flask (!) And...did I see three smart dogs walk in behind Parker:) You were there in that video if not in the pictures!
Those flowers are lovely...we call them Guldavri over here (I think.) Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Licks n Wags,

Hi guys!!
It' me, Koobus. I love that wall! The flowers are great, too. They really grew fast! I know all about the bees. They hang out at the purple flowers by my deck, but we pretty much ignore each other.
The pictures of Pittsburgh are beautiful. Looks like a great city. Pennsylvania sure is beautiful.
Little Parker is getting to be a pretty big boy. He sure is cute. I would love him. I really like babies. Pretty soon Parker will be walking and then all of you will have lots of fun chasing him. Hehehe...
Oh dear we couldn't see the pics of Pittsburgh....bummer!! The flowers are pretty though and little Parker is a cutie.

Are you going to help thin the flower beds?
Slobbers,

Those flowers sure grew quickly and they are beautiful!
Parker is getting big!

Beautiful garden mums, Dewey. Almost worth not having the tunnel. Oh and Parker is growing as fast as the mums! What a cutie! Isn't it fortunate that we don't have to drink from sippy cups? It looks really difficult.
Oh and you are in the video. I saw you and Asta Marie trotting by the high chair. Hope you got some crumbs!
xoxo
Chef
Those flowers are lovely!!! And Parker has gotten very big!! He must be throwing a lot of food on the ground by now!! Lucky for you!!!Love A+A
Hi, Dewey...
Your flowers are beautiful...It's getting really cold up here & our mums don't look very good...
It's gonna snow soon, I think...Yesterday morning my Mom almost fell on a patch of ice on the deck when she took me out...
Abby xxxooo
Nuthin' like Fall in the 'burgh! We went to my park over the weekend and it was just covered in beautiful leaves. But soon the snow will come...then the REAL fun starts!!
Sherman
beautiful flowers! we're not very big on flowers to tell you the truth, but they honestly look very nice!
Ooooo what pretty flowers! Have you gotten a chance to sample any of those yet? I wonder what they taste like!!!
Slurp!
Mr. T-Bone Beasley
Those flowers are gorgeous! How ever did you not dig them up before now? I dunno, they wouldn't have lasted that long at our place. I would have relocated them all long ago, no telling where they would have popped up when I got through excavating.
Just found out that we're getting one of those Baby Parker thingies at our house. Mom's gonna be a Gram, too! Can't wait, I hear they're good at dropping goodies on the floor.
Happy Tails,
William Tell
