I need yer help here......
See that ?????
That's Toby's crate.....
Right now there's a nice soft crate pad in there besides a soft brown cover. There used ta be only a brown cover.
Ya know why ???
Cause Toby was a baby and sometimes he would have accidents in his crate....and the brown cover was easier ta wash than the crate pad woulda been.
But Toby's not a baby anymore and Gram and Pap said he needed ta have a nice soft crate pad like we both have in our crates.
But I didn't want him ta have a nice cozy crate like we have and I'm the boss......aren't I ????
So I went downstairs and got the pad outta the crate and brought it upstairs.
I really wanted ta rip it up and I was trying real hard ta do that too..... I asked my Mom ta give me an extra set of teeth so we could destroy that nice soft pad.....
But Gram took it away from us and put it back in the crate. So I just went downstairs and got inta Toby's crate....
But Gram took it away from us and put it back in the crate. So I just went downstairs and got inta Toby's crate....
I'm sittin' here in Toby's crate til the crate pad is too old and torn and stinky fer Toby ta want ta use it anymore...
Isn't that a brilliant solution ta the problem at hand ????
Gee, I really wouldn't want ta miss dinner....
Can ya help me out ????
Should I come out ???
Or should I stay ????
But I'm the boss and that's what Bosses do....
Am I right ????
This is Dewey Dewster who's very busy bein' the Boss....

Taday is also Pearl Harbor Day
On December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor without warning and the attack caused the United States ta declare war on Japan. We would like to remember all of those who fought and died in that battle and those that survived too.
In this Dec. 7, 1941 file photo, the battleship USS Arizona belches smoke as it topples over into the sea during a Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. With an eye on the immediate aftermath of the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, thousands of World War II veterans and other observers are expected on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008 to commemorate the 67th anniversary of the devastating Japanese military raid. Dewey,
I would have no trouble making that decision. To me, food is way more important and fun than sitting in a crate. That's a no-brainer. You can always go back and sit in the crate later.
Besides, are you sure you're the boss? Isn't your mother, Asta Marie, the real boss?
Nice Pearl Harbor tribute. Seems like since it happened so long ago. And being so close to the Holidays that we tend to forget about it. Nice reminder.
Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie
Dewey matie,
I have a similar problem with my sisters Lucy & Tess. They are obsessed with my thick comfy bed. They sneak upstairs and try to rip it to shreds but so far D & B have stopped them.
Thanks for the info on Pearl Harbor day.

Dewey,
You ARE the boss and you need to keep it that way. Good job on letting everyone know it! I think, being the boss, you need to be hand fed your dinner by your "subjects"...
Dewey
I don't think it's impowtant enuff to be boss to give up dinnew..but that's just me..hope you got this pwoblem wesolved
smoochie kisses
ASTA
Dewey, I would have gone out of the crate when it's dinner time, probably eat dinner in no time flat, and rush back to sit there...*wink*
Thank you for the info on Pearl Harbor Day...=) That is a great tribute.
Hope you have a great day!

P/S: My Mom says she will email your Gram about our blog layout thing...she feels if she starts blabbing here, it'll be like 2 pages long! O.O"
FOOD! of course, come on!! the pad will be there when you get back, but food can disappear in no time!!
Hi, Dewey!
Food is first! Then, once you have you tummy full you can solve everything!
Kisses and hugs

Dewey, course your'e the boss pal. Drag that nice comfy pad to the food bowl, eat double quick then take the pad back to your Crate. Double Decker pads. Good huh?
Ooh the Christmas candy. Gram is a real good elf for Santa. But chocolate turtles..that sounds abit cruel..not to mention crunchy...not safe for baby Parker to eat at all..whenhe can move again.
Wiry wags, Eric xxx
I think you make a pawsome boss Dewey. Maybe you can carry the pad everywhere you go

Yo Dewey...did ya hear a lot of groanin' and moanin' last night bout 10PM? That woulda been Daddy who had to go out with a shovel and extracate stoopid Lacie from under the deck...come and lookie at the pix...Mumsie spent have the day fillin' in the stoopid hole and the tunnel she made...I caught Lacie with a diagram of the next tunnel she's gonna dig...sheesh...girls...
Foxy barks..Scruffdude...
Both of us would leave the crate pad right where it lays because food rules for both of us! Let us know what you decide to do, Dewey!
Our great-grandpa's birthday was December 7th too!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Dewey, if you sit in the crate and keep missing dinner, you'll get so hungry you'll eat the crate pad. Then where'll you be? So this is what you do: take the pad with you to the bowl and take it back to the crate when you're done. This way, you're still the boss and you won't starve.

You need to remind those upstarts who is the boss all the time. It doesn't matter if you like the bed or not, just make sure Toby knows its yours whenever you want it. Where was the little chap during all this anyway?

It's hard work bein' the boss. Not just any dog can do it. Can you drag that brown bedding to the food bowl?
Happy Tails,
William Tell
Oh gosh yes, FOOD is the only priority! I'm the boss over here (when Josie lets me). We have a big crate pad like yours too! It used to be mine when I was younger but now I've been so good Mom lets me sleep on HER bed! Wow -- I've really come up in the world. My doggie mom Clancy has that pad in her crate now plus some others. Mom spoils everybody with lots of bedding in their crates 'cause it can get drafty in the laundry room where the others sleep at night.
I'm not spoiled, am I?

If you want something, then you must take it....that's what I say.....

You've got something in common with Mercury. That's what she does...she takes my pillow and removes the pillow-cover...then she feeds it to a big growling monster that froths at the mouth...just to prove that she's the boss!

Hi Dewey!
I like your solution! If you are the boss, you should get to decide what to do with it. :)
